f150 ecoboost towing skid steer I need to get a t250 bobcat skid steer to my house. It normally gets towed by a friends 2000 f350 7.3 but his transmission quit and now I have no way to move it. I looked it up, it weighs just under 9200 lbs and the trailer is almost 3000 lbs.

I weighed my setup at the scales today and the dump trailer with skid steer weighed in at 10,790lbs. I know the towing capacity is 11,300. BUT. is it a good idea to run close to max on a pretty regular basis? A few times in a pinch I have had to tow a 6500# skid steer in a 4300# dump trailer. Power wise the EB handles everything just fine. If you can distribute the weight on the trailer rather than the tonque all is good.
As long as you don't exceed the towing specs for your truck you will be fine. Most 1/2 tons are around 7500lbs tow weight, that's the trailer with load. That being said, it would need to be no larger than a Bobcat S100 or similar skid steer. To the OP, I have a 2011 Lariat with tow max package. I have a large skid steer and attachments. I have hooked and towed, probably right at 10K lbs. The Lariat does great. Any time I want to go, I just push the "loud" pedal and it scoots past most everything I want. Usually there are footnotes stating how to achieve a specific tow rating.
