Yes keep the weight in the back loading. My Bobcat 743 gets way light in the front with forks on it. For the genius that flipped the Cat it takes lots of talent to flip a track machine. Flipping an older wheel machine is one thing but flipping a track takes practice also the weight was obviously in the rear with the front forks and no bucket.

I like a 16 or 18' trailer for my skid . I also like a bumper pull because you can still load the bed of the truck . The trailer i use now is a 12000lb Ringo 16' drop axel with 5' drop down ramps . I would like to pull my skid and mine X on one trailer but i . We own a track skid steer, laser best grading box, Deere 450H dozer and a Deere 650J dozer. Residential work like garage floors or driveways a skid steer on its own is plenty. Large yard install a dozer to grade and skid steer to power rake it and pick up spoils.
