My 2000 260 skid steer parking brake won't release and the boom won't raise. The left pedal will not unlock however the right one does, allowing the bucket to operate when the motor is running. When this happens there is reverse pressure placed on the control arms and an absolutely excruciating sound of brake pads working against the forward moving motors. Background: When we first acquired the skid steer we had this issue and were able to track it down to the alternator having been rewired .Park brake will not unlock Seat belt or seat switch is not activated. Park brake switch has not gone through the momentary down position (unlocked) - push switch down.
My 2003 Deere 260 series 2 will not move. Starts just fine. Bucket moves normally. Parking brake seems to disengage. The light goes off. Hydraulic fluid is full. When I try to go forward or in reverse, it seems to want to move, but it is like something is holding it .
We went to go start it up today and move it and the parking brake light wont go off. the skid steer will move but parking brake is on and wont go off. the seat belt light goes off. we took the switch assebly off and put electric grease on it but it did nothing. any other ideas? hate to replace the switch and that not be it, but might be it?
