What a piece of crap for my needs. If you want to a level a lot FAST...use a box blade on a CTL. I have tried the skip loader route, (too big, bulky, and inprecise) a box blade on a skid steer, (not enough traction when the box was full of dirt) a grader blade on a CTL (too slow and no dirt moving capabilities) and a box blade on a CTL.
He had a skid steer never had any problem with the steep driveway but he sold the skid steer. He bought the tractor afterwards its smaller and doesn't leave marks on the concrete also he missed having something to move stuff around with. But he did have to add weight to the tractor to keep it on all 4 wheels way more tippy than the skid steer. If it is a small yard or confined area the best combo I have found and used is a mini skid with land plane.
Visibility is terrible to the left side where the hoses are routed. I constantly found myself leaning forward to try watch the left cutting edge corner. I also found better control if I tilted back the loader function to allow the skid pads to float the blade. I also controlled the cut by rolling the blade back onto the skid pads. I really like the Case machines alot myself and if I couldn't have my Bobcat would want a 445 Case. I would recommend a box blade attachment for your skid steer to smooth your driveway. Similar looking to a Harley rake. It's been awhile since I've been on the forum. I'll throw my 2 cents in. I have the Level Best with the box blade and dual masts. Previously l had the Level Best push/pull blade with a single mast. I much prefer the box blade over the push/pull blade. The dual masts goes without saying which is better.
