It has a couple more hp and about 200 lbs. more lift than a 553 but otherwise the same machine (weight kit on the back makes most of the differance ). This week while operating for 45 min., the boom no longer operates or tilts I shut the machine off and pulled the seat out and the hydraulic lines were hot to the touch and there is a sllight leak on the right side driver motor. The 555's had different rear engine covers since the engines had different exhaust and cooling vents, and of course the decals were different. Aug 15, 2009. #4.
