I purchased a 2nd hand Kubota KX41-3 excavator, & have problems with jerky hydraulics. Operating the stick & bucket curl is OK, they are relatively jerk free, however when operating the boom & swing of the excavator, it is really hard to be smooth. Apparently you have gotten used to the John Deere backhoe control pattern instead of the standard excavator controls. Put you cylinder hoses back where they were and then trace the pilot hoses from the valve.

Pel Job 25.4 (mini excavator). The engine will start fine and it will rev up + down. However, the control levers have gone dead and it is also not possible to track. Seems like a total loss of hydraulic power. Checked fuses and none are blown. Anyone come across this or similar in a small track.
I have a PC75 Komatsu excavator, with about 4000 hrs. I have noticed that the hydraulics are starting to slow down. cant move the stick as fast, curl the bucket as fast.. etc.. anyway to turn that back up and make the machine a little bit faster.. its still plenty manageable, but like most guys, like that fast quick feeling when you pull on . The foot controls are too awkward, stiff and small to control the machine with confidence. Moving forward is better than reverse though. I have zero control in reverse. This forces me to use the handles and that's a bad habit to get into, but what are you going to do. My next machine will have pilot foot controls. When the company upgraded machines it was easy to adapt with the sae controls. When I got on the tlb's it was weird at first but I adapted to it, but I prefer the sae when digging with excavators. I dont need to think twice when I run iso on tlb's cause its natural now but for whatever reason I prefer and will stay with sae on excavators.
