Did some research and found a company called Original Mechanic that sells a repair kit, basically cut off a certain amount of the tube, and weld on a new piece that tapers down to factory spec size so you use all original bearings and seal.

The axle and the interior tubing are unbelievably shot, and I couldn't even hear it grinding. (Operators left rear). I have an S300 chaincase that is in good condition, needs cleaned up and repainted, but other than that a pretty good candidate for a swap out. You will need to remove the axle to see if there is any other damage. I wouldn't think there would be damage unless the bearing race wore through or the axle was rubbing. Replacing axle bearings and seals on the Mustang Skid Steer. The axles and outer drive flange are 1 piece. The seal goes on the axle and then the outer Tapered Roller Bearing gets pressed on the axle. Then the axle goes into the axle tube..here comes the problem.
